B. George joined the AISL community as a Physical Education teacher and coach in 1989 and retired last year. As a competitive athlete who played basketball for the Nigerian National Team and Track and Field for Lagos State, B. George developed an interest in teaching and coaching. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Lagos and later earned his Masters Degree and US teaching qualification from the College of New Jersey in the United States. B. George served the AISL community as a teacher and a coach of basketball, swimming, and track and field for over 30 years. He is known for his passion for sport, his kindness, and his ability to motivate students. He took great pride in the relationships he developed with students, parents, and colleagues. In addition to being a committed and talented teacher and colleague, B. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. We will release a communication to the AISL community shortly. Darlene and Doug will follow up by providing some guidelines and resources in the event that students wish to discuss B. George's passing in class. Our thoughts and prayers are with B. George's family and his close colleagues and friends during this difficult time.
