Memories - I have so many of Gareth. His dark sense of humour would lift me up on my down days as I could with him. He was my go to with Excel issues amongst other things and he had such a breadth of knowledge and would come out with these random facts and I would be like how the hell do you know all this stuff! He would do his naughty laugh and say I just do. He loved his lego and the big collection that Mr Cooper and himself had accrued over the years. He would tell me how it would go up in value and really make me want to get into lego lol and would show off the latest addition he had at home. Not a day would go by with "Mr Cooper" being mentioned - sending a big hug to you if you read this. Even when he moved to another team I knew if I had anything I was stuck on I just had to give him a call and he would always come back with the answer. I still spoke to him a lot even when he moved. I am sure he dreaded seeing my name pop up :) but we would sort out my issue, have a little chat and the call would always end - don't forget the lottery. I can still hear him say it now. He was very family oriented and would send emails when there was a new addition to the family to show us all and spoke of you all so warmly. His hub nickname Grage - a nickname that came about after a student had sung his praises and had gotten his name wrong - a lot of students asked for Gareth when they came in in to the PG Hub he had a way about him that would calm down an upset student he would take them to the side sit them down and talk everything through with them. They always left more positive after speaking with him. Gareth was so kind, caring, sensitive, thoughtful - every birthday he would make a special visit to Costco and that person would have the biggest cake - and there was always a big bag of sweets or treats on the desk Gareth never came in empty handed. I will miss seeing you walking down Colum Road with your big coat on which you wore all year round even when it was boiling in you came with the big coat on. I am just glad to have called you my good friend. You were loved by one and all that met you and you are going to be missed so much. You will leave a big hole in our hearts. Sending heartfelt condolences and love to his family and friends and all in CARBS - he will never be forgotten xxx
