The demise of Elder Akande is sad and unexpected at this time. It is on record that he was the first President of this club when it was founded in 1975 and he performed very well as the pioneer president. He was honest, dedicated, reliable, responsible, rigid and highly disciplined and jovial with a sense of humour. We should learn a lesson from his attributes.
