On behalf of the Staff Association Zimbabwe, we join our hearts to convey our sincere condolences to you all on the untimely passing away of our colleague and friend, Dr Daniel Fussum (IVD Team Leader/IST/ESA). The organization has lost a visionary man who was a servant to the vast work of WHO in the African Region. His level of dedication and commitment to success stories in the region is incomparable, he was a comrade par-excellence! Dr Daniel worked with a lot of people and he always had a smile on his face every time you bumped into him. Our organization has been robbed of a quality leader and mentor! We also take this time to remember Dr Daniel’s family as they come to terms with this difficult circumstance! May they find comfort and help from GOD to move on! To the IVD Team, the gap left by Dr Daniel will be so difficult to fill as he surely was an exceptional person in the way he handled his work and those around him. His absence will be felt in a very painful way. We pray the team finds strength and courage to continue with the legacy left behind by Dr Daniel. We hope you find comfort in these few words “a team thrives with a great visionary leader, and the team catches on to the vision, so that in the absence of the visionary, the vision is still clear!!”, bon courage! Let us continue to remember Dr Daniel’s family in our prayers through all that requires to be done going forward. And also continue to pray for his wife for a speedy recovery. May His Soul Rest in Peace
