Ernie Montero

January 2, 1959 - December 29, 2020

Ernie was one of the most caring, selfless and knowledgeable people you could ever meet, and he could never do enough for you. His passion for music & sound was evident in all he did, as was his generous and kind nature. He imparted countless amounts of knowledge on colleagues and students alike and his face lit up when he was sharing his pearls of wisdom and seeing people grasp it. A dear friend, colleague and wonderful human being.

There is nobody in this world quite like Ernie. He was part of the Motor City Vipers family, knowledgeable, passionate and incredibly good at what he did. It was always a pleasure to talk music and guitars with him, and he will never be forgotten. One in a million.
