With hearts full of love and memories, we share the passing of Vincent "Vince" Laurel Soto.
Vince lived his life with arms wide open, embracing people and different cultures, which has brought him to places like Israel, Quebec, British Columbia, France, Peru and Argentina.
Armed with his fiercely independent nature and the belief that travel is the best teacher, Vincent followed his wonder wherever it led him, be it through a new field of study, an unfamiliar language, his artistic inclinations in painting and fashion, and/or food.
Vince is survived by his mother, Iluminada (Luming or Ada) Laurel Soto, predeceased by his father, Pantaleon ‘Loy’ Soto, siblings Nick (Noemi), Dette Pervez (Shahid +), Zizi (Chona), Aunt Zonie and Uncle Paeng, also cousins who adore his quick-wittedness and vibrant spirit, nieces and nephews, and grand nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held in Vince’s honor on June 21, 2025, Saturday, 10:30 AM, at the St. Joseph's Church, 200 Morrish Road, Scarborough, ON M1C 1E8.
Inurnment will be at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens at 2700 Kingston Road in Scarborough at a later date.
