Tony was truly part of the fabric of the National Theatre. He always cared so deeply about staff and their experience of the NT even after they may have left. He was a great advocate for the Archive and he will go down in the history of the organisation for his extraordinary contribution. My heart is with his family, friends and his many colleagues.
