I grew up with Tony in our lives when he raced with my father, Richard Cleare, in the 1980s. He was my godfather, although I have to say his racing skills were better than his god parenting!! In 2017 Tony squeezed himself into his little Austin and drove down to pay his last respects to my father. It was an afternoon of old boys getting together after some years to reminisce. My father was very fond of Tony, a true friend rather than just a team mate and on behalf of my father and I, would like to thank Tony for touching lives like he did so well. Would welcome knowing of any memorial service that is being held. Fly high Tony, find Dad and relive the good times!.
