With heavy hearts, but with gratitude to God, we announce the death of Sir Ndubuka Richard Ogbonna (KSJ), beloved husband, devoted father, doting grandfather, passionate teacher and supportive mentor to several generations of students. We will miss him dearly for his care, wisdom and humour.
He was an inspiration to many of his peers, and his students, who will fondly remember him for his passionate teaching methods, and his commitment to inspiring excellence in students across many schools in Nigeria.
After three decades of stellar service in education, he retired in 2008, at the peak of his career, as the Principal of Federal Government College Keffi, Nasarawa State, Nigeria.
In retirement he remained committed to his Catholic Faith as a Knight of the Order of St John, a calling he carried on dutifully to his death.
He passed on peacefully, surrounded by his family, on the 17th of March 2025, having lived an impactful life of service to his family faith and profession.
