I first met Ruaidhre across the bridge table at Ealing Golf Club where he was always a formidable opponent. More importantly, he lit up any social occasion at the Club at which he was present; his humour, intellect and sociability never failed to enhance the enjoyment of an occasion for all those around him. His immense ability and talent was appreciated by all: on the golf course, in the bridge section and in his contribution to Club management, he was an invaluable member and a guiding light for many. We will miss him enormously. RIP Ruaidhre and thank you for touching the lives of so many.
