I was so saddened to hear about the death of Richie. I’ll never forget his passion for coming up with whacky and out of the box ideas. He was passionate about submitting Innovation Ideas to Jamestown - one of these was in January 2018 when he found HqO, which Jamestown ended up investing in and rolling out across our portfolio as a result. I’m attaching part of his submission below. He really was spot on. His energetic and passionate personality was infectious and he will be missed.
“In a recent press release (Jan 16) a business community platform app (Venture APP) announced a commercial real estate platform for high end commercial office landlords called HqO. They have coined the type of tenant they are targeting as the “connected tenant” which perfectly describes what the talent of tomorrow will look like. This also plays into the “internet of things” as consumer items become more and more connected, it is easy to see that building systems will do the same and tenants will expect it soon enough.”
