I was shocked and saddened when receiving the message of Ibu Ratna's passing away last Sunday.
I remember Ibu Ratna as a warm and helpful colleague who contributed significantly to the friendly family-style working atmosphere in the EU Delegation. She welcomed everybody with a warm smile and was the force behind the monthly birthday celebrations.
Looking at her Facebook page I saw that after her retirement she had a busy social life with friends and family and I enjoyed seeing how much she enjoyed life. I am sure that they will miss her, like everyone who has known her will miss her.
May her family be strong in these difficult times and may Ibu Ratna rest in peace.
