Peter was a good friend. I must have met Peter more than thirty years ago. We shared many interests such as walking, bridge, bird watching and even horse riding, although this lalter was only on one occasion on a New Year Weekend in the Cotswolds in 1989.
Bird watching took us to the Galapagos in 2005 when Peter joined myself, Julia Chapman and Di Reeves on a fantastic holiday, the first week going around the islands and the second high up in the mountains and rainforests of Ecuador. The most amazing scenery, birds and wildlife.
Bridge was equally important and although Peter was a much better player than me, he was a fun and relaxed social player, too and not overly critical!
