Peter was my Godfather and incredibly kind and generous as every year he would take my mother and me to the theatre - usually something at The National as well as treating us to supper beforehand. It felt very glamorous and more recently since my mother died he and I would go to things that friends of mine were in (slightly less glamorous!) and he'd still insist on treating me to supper beforehand. He insisted on meeting me there and going home on his own on the tube despite having had his first stroke. He was often off to somewhere fun with friends and always seemed to have a most thriving social life! He was so kind at his lovely 80th Birthday lunch as he organised a table for the children there (he even invited my son who was only 4) filled with chicken nuggets and chips I think and a lovely dinasaur mug they were allowed to take home with them which lasted many years. He was a very very kind Godfather and I wish I'd been a more attentive Goddaughter. Thank you Peter for all your generosity and kindness - with love Candida
