I didn't speak to Peter for a good few years, which is pretty upsetting now
He was a lovely, kind, caring, funny man - always enjoyed talking about football with him, and hearing his awful jokes.
Reading all these very touching notes has been lovely - and nice to hear stories I wouldn't have heard otherwise.
One of many fond memories of Peter (I have no idea why this one springs to mind!) Once I came to the table after playing cards and he had my hand, rather annoyed and ready to accuse him of dealing me a deliberately rubbish hand. I pick up the hand, only to find he had given me the Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10 of Trumps. Still makes me smile to this day.
My condolences to Jackie, Rebecca, Simon, Matt, Alex & Grandkids.
