Peter interviewed me in Feb 2012 for a 3 month contract. Almost 7yrs later I finally said farewell to Fidelity. However, those years were spent with the most incredible guy, who had the respect of the whole firm from the Gardener to the President. Pete made me a part of his team, the FIL family, he entrusted me to get the job done and he never once made me feel anything but total respect for his welcoming smile, his cheeky wink when he was winding me up and his wicked sense of humour. We spent many hours over the years talking about travel, photography, sport, tech, cars - you name it - I never ever had a boring or aimless conversation with Pete - not once. He passed on so much knowledge, and wisdom onto so many people, and he had that inherent ability to quickly get to the nub of a problem and come up with some genius workaround. Pete was a truly remarkable guy, a gentle soul, and someone who changed the course of my career and my life - little did he know. He spoke fondly of his family, his early years epic car journeys and Scottish escapades. His Land Rover slides in the snow in Sevenoaks. My deepest sympathies are now with his family and his friends. God bless.
