Paul was truly a pure gentleman. His efforts was always about helping other especially the pupils, giving his time and efforts above and beyond teaching accompanying and performing. Completely dedicated to family, friends and music he strived to be the best he could be. I often walked past the practice suite and hear him perform some Schuman or Mozart flawlessly. “Oh I’m just playing around” he’d say.
He regularly travelled and he would come in and show me the pictures of his latest adventure. I particularly remember Vienna as he brought in two photo albums for that trip insisting that I go. I will one day.
Paul always gave, the annual French trip always brought back a small wine and pate and he regularly brought in useful music books, scores and worksheets to help the students and myself.
I have so many lovely memories of a lovely man who will be greatly missed. My sympathy goes to Lynne along his friends and family at this difficult time.
