I met Patrick many years ago when we were working together at Trafford General. We soon became friends and when I organised a monthly Friday night out, Patrick was always there. Pat wouldn’t hesitate to offer his services when you needed a favour, and would only let you pay him in chocolate cake or sweets! He helped my Dawn move house and picked furniture up for her. When Sophie was at school and needed a placement in physio, Patrick sorted this out for her with a friend of his. When Lauren found out she had to have surgery, Patrick not only sorted out the appointment, but made sure he was there for her on the day. When Lisa had a birthday meal, Patrick and Sally were there, enjoying the celebrations with her. Nothing was too much trouble. He was everyone’s friend. When I arranged my 50th birthday party in a villa in Spain, it went without saying that Patrick and Sally were on the guest list. Every time I held one of my cocktail nights, Patrick and Sally were here. Patrick loved my hot pot so I would make extra so he could take some home. Patrick became friends with my sisters while we were in Spain, and would love sitting and chatting with them when we had a get together. He was so interested in others lives, and never once complained about anything. Billy became very fond of Patrick. When he was in a band, Patrick would make every effort to come and support him. Patrick was part of our gang, all built on loyalty and true friendship. Patrick, I will miss you till the end of time. You were a beautiful person inside and out. You and Sally were a perfect couple who were always welcome in our lives. Sally will continue to be part of our lives and your memory will live on, that’s a promise. Rest easy my friend xx
