I will not be wrong to say that I have lost a mum twice. I feel empty and drained; exactly the same way I felt when my mum died 6 years ago.
Mummy; like I used to call you, you knew I loved you so deeply, I could feel your love for me too.
I'm pained mummy; mostly because the social distancing in place could allow me show up at your bedside when you were sick. I spoke with you on the 10th of May and prayed you bounced back, but God answered our prayers in a different way; by taking you to Himself and marking an end to your pain and suffering.
I will forever cherish the memory of your sweet self standing in the gap for six years after I lost my biological mum.
Thank you mummy and sleep well on the bossom of your creator; happy and jovial woman!
Derin and siblings, may God give you the grace to forge on in a life without your mum in it. Amen
