I had the good fortunate to wrap one of my arms around Neil's broad shoulders on many occasions in the halcyon days of my playing career. In the front row, on the field, Neil was the old-school, tower of strength prop-forward who took the upstart pup of a young hooker under his wing. He was the archetypal club-man on and off the field and there are many occasions I owe a debt to his wisdom from my early PRUFC playing days. As many have already said, he will be sadly missed, and my thoughts and condolences are with his family. On a personal note I will miss his booming voice and his rambunctious laughter, he was a larger than life personality. RIP Neil.
