Nes was not just a professional colleague, he was indeed a true friend - he even new my favourite football team in South Africa, Kaizer Chiefs, and once got himself one of their black-and-yellow t-shirts which he loved very much. It was my intent to surprise him with a new one when he would visit South Africa next for the then planned WAITRO Global Innovation Summit - alas it was not to be. I will miss him dearly.
Condolences and deepest sympathies to his family and friends in Malaysia and across the world. The world is a poorer place without him, the WAITRO Global Innovation Family is in mourning.
