I worked with Mikey for around 7 years in the Social Media team in Lloyds. Mikey was one of the ones that trained me when I first started, and although I was pretty nervous joining such a close knit team, he made me feel so welcome and at ease instantly.
I have so many fond memories of him, and we loved to wind each other up! He had such a good sense of humour, and was always up for a laugh. I used to love giving him phone numbers for random takeaways in Glasgow, telling him they were numbers for different departments in the bank he needed to phone. He fell for it every time.
Behind all the jokes and hilarity,he was also a very sensitive guy, and he always seemed to be able to tell if you were upset about something. He took the time to ask what was going on, and had many chats with me about breakups I was going through, or other stresses I had - and was always up for giving his advice.
He also loved hearing all the gossip and knowing the chat about fall outs with friends or what was going on with people in the work place and used to get so excited when I’d walk in and say “omg wait until you hear this” - he was always first to spin his chair around and be ready for the goss!
He was always talking about Aimee, Angus and Elliott, and the amount of love he had for you three was so evident. He was always proudly showing me pictures of the boys and telling me about their latest milestone achievements. He will be so so missed by all of his colleagues. He really was a great guy to work with and was someone you’d be happy to know was on the same shift as you. Thanks for all the laughs Mikey xx
