I first met Melanie when I was Deputy Headteacher at Sherdley Primary and she was a literacy consultant supporting the school. She was so supportive and approachable and everybody loved her. When I needed advice and some new ideas as a Headteacher colleague, she welcomed me into her school, St Aidan’s. All my husband’s family and my daughter were pupils at St Aidan’s before Melanie took up Headship there and there could not have been a better appointment as Headteacher. Her work with the local community, including chats with my mother in law was greatly appreciated. I know that the school flourished under her leadership and she will be sadly missed. God bless you Melanie xx
