I was involved in recruiting Mark, and from day one he was efficient, had a keen eye for detail and willing to learn and improve our many unique ways of working. An excellent man to rely on when things were busy or extra training needed to be carried out, and certainly became a unique 'father' figure to some of the younger team, always there with advice, support or friendly words.
I hadn't worked with Mark in recent months, but it was always a pleasure saying hello - and he was such a lovely man.
My favourite memory of Mark was how straight to the point he was. He was once asked by a manager to do something - and the manager led in with 'You can say no' so of course Mark said no! But in seriousness, he was a dedicated employee and an asset to our team.
I will miss how generous he was with his time, and willing to make Ocado a better place to work for all those he engaged with on a daily basis, not just from ways of working but a pleasant, friendly environment. His loss has been a great shock - and he will be missed.
