I had the pleasure of working with Mark at Ricardo and WSP, where he was always willing to share his extensive knowledge and expertise with anyone needing his help and support - he seemed to know something about everything! We have worked closely together on some very challenging (and often stressful) programmes, but he always kept his great sense of humour and wonderful character. I respected Mark for being himself, especially in roles where others may have felt pressure to conform to the typical 'style' and 'look' of a senior engineer / manager - I remember meeting him for the first time, he was wearing a long black trench coat with lightning strikes emblazoned on it! I will miss our chats and the laughs that we had, but I am very grateful for knowing him. My condolences to Mark's family and friends.
