Lou Yili was born April 10, 1939 in Guayama, Puerto Rico. His
mother was Flora Bardeguez Delgado and father Leotardo Yili.
His siblings include Angie, Gloria, Josie, Myrna, Flora, Dehlia,
Pete, and his step-sister Lydia.
After high school, Lou spent four years in the Navy during the
Suez Canal crisis. He served on a tanker carrying jet fuel as a
gunner’s mate.
He married his beloved wife, Dolores Formoso, March 29,
1964. Lou & Dolores had two children, Denise and Brian. Lou
was baptized September 3, 1983 in Buckingham, Pennsylvania
with his daughter, Denise.
Lou worked almost 30 years as a Computer Operator on
mainframe computers. and then became a consultant. He then
trained and mastered the art of a locksmith and had his own
business.
More importantly, Lou worked as a beloved servant of Jehovah.
He served as a ministerial servant, worked in the RBC, and
prepared meals for the brothers and sisters at the Buckingham
Assembly Hall. Lou & Dolores moved to Albuquerque, New
Mexico in 2003. They attended the Alameda congregation, and in
2020 attended Sierra Vista.
Lou enjoyed fishing trips with his friends, camping, traveling,
roller-skating, dancing, and spending time with his family.
Lou Yili is survived by his beloved wife Dolores, children Denise
(husband David) & Brian (wife Hazel), and grandchildren
(Jonathan, Michael, Samuel, Casey, Shannon, Alyssa, and Jared).
