It’s taken me a number of days to try to think of the right words to say and Lorna, because it’s just so hard to believe that Lorna is no longer with us. Lorna was one of the most genuine and down to earth people I have ever met. I have only know Lorna just over 2 years and like everyone found her to be hard working, driven in her want to help vulnerable people, selfless and happy to share her knowledge. From the first day I met her when I joined the council, she would happily pull up a chair beside me and give me background information and help with a case. I loved our chats in the kitchen over making a cuppa and her straight talking and infectious laugh. Over the past year and a half Lorna has been there for me when I was ill and she provided huge support to me and through our talks, I got to know this amazing woman even more. The world has lost one of life’s greatest, she will be sorely missed by those who’s lives she touched. I hope David and the family get some comfort from knowing how truly wonderful everyone thought Lorna was. RIP Lorna, till we meet again xx
