She had a wonderful human touch, and I will always remember visiting Aberdeen University with Lori and 2 other colleagues a few months after she had started at UCL: with every other step we took on the campus, one of Lori's former colleagues would come and embrace her, and express how delighted they were to see her again. Lori reciprocated in her inimitable graceful style, and with each encounter there was a sense of real camaraderie.
I will miss Lori, she was an incredible person. All my sympathy to Lori's family and friends.
