We are deeply saddened by the news of Mr. Hruska's passing. So grateful that two of my Daughters (one currently, and one graduated) had him as a teacher. Having Mr. Hruska as a grade 7/8 teacher was like a rite of passage for the Thornton kids before moving on to high school. It takes a special kind of teacher to make the impact that he did. My oldest said it best, when she said "He's a legend".
His energy (especially during science experiments, AND on the dance floor at Grade 8 Graduation!) are some of my kids favourite memories of Mr. Hruska. And of course, his kind, encouraging way of preparing his students for the next phase of their lives - high school.
Thank you Mr. Hruska for being a Teacher that my Daughters will never forget.
Our deepest sympathy and prayers to his family.
With love,
Jennifer and Zoe & Renee Brisebois
