Kate Pitt

March 23, 1965 - January 1, 2022

Kate was an extremely well-liked and respected colleague throughout the 34 years that she worked with the FCA and our wider regulatory family. Kate contributed greatly to some of the highest profile initiatives across our organisation and worked tirelessly to strengthen our defences preventing the wrong firms and individuals from being able to cause harm to UK consumers. Kate was passionate about her work and protecting consumers, and she imbued that passion among those around her to whom she was a valued and inspiring colleague, source of support and friend. She will be fondly remembered as someone who always had time for others, for the fun she brought and for her playful sense of humour. Kate will be deeply missed.

Offering my sincere condolences to Kate’s family doesn’t seem enough. Hearing the heart-breaking news that Kate is no longer with us has left me devastated. So, for her family I can only imagine that this is multiplied by a million as they have lost a wonderful, kind, funny, considerate and intelligent daughter, sister and aunt. Kate was my manager at the start, but she very quickly became a dear friend who provided me with so much love and support during my low moments. She also celebrated me when I succeeded and I couldn’t have asked for anymore from her as my friend. I will miss her immensely and the void that has been left can never be filled. I will always cherish the memories and laughs. Rest in peace Kitty. I will miss you always”. Jag XXXX
