Dear Bill, Jessica, Jane, Pam, and families,
I am so very sorry for your loss in Karen of mother, daughter, and sister. Hearing that she has gone home to her Lord brings back memories that span most of our lives. Karen and I were good friends and companions in high school, sharing our love of God, music, and learning. We stayed in touch through college and far beyond, gradually less regularly, yet always as though only a little time had passed since the last time. During her LaCrosse years we met for lunch and a long visit in either of our towns, in
Rochester, or at Frontenac State Park. Correspondence by letter continued as long as possible; I delighted in hearing about the arrival of Matthew and Marisol. After letters no longer worked, Karen would still surprise me by popping up in my thoughts and prayers - what a friend she was! Now I am thankful for Karen's relief from suffering and for the many lives she has enriched with her care. May God continue to surround you with peace and strength in the days ahead. Sincerely, Pam
