I am stilled stunned by the news of John´s sudden passing, and cannot believe we will not meet again. John was chosen to be opponent on a PhD committee with me the first time I met him over zoom during the first year of the pandemic. Even through zoom his personality shown through, smiling, kind, with humor and a great scientist. Later we met at conferences in Lisbon, Copenhagen and Valencia. He was such a wonderful person, always surrounded by people who wished to talk to him. We had to stand in line at conferences. We had looked so much forward to meet him at he Phd celebration party in a few weeks. He will be truly missed. We will do our best to finish the work in his spirit and they way we had planned it together. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
