Sincere condolences to John's family, friends and colleagues. I first met John over 20 years ago, at my first ever influenza surveillance meeting. I was new to the then EISS network and John was so welcoming and supportive. I will always remember John's kindness. He was very inspirational and passionate about flu/RSV and all his work. I was so saddened to hear about John's untimely passing. May he rest in peace.
