I am so sad to hear that John is not with us anymore. John was a great colleague who could light up any conversation with his knowledge and wit. He has been a great inspiration to many og us and has contributed substantially to our knowledge on the burden of influenza. Last time we met was during an influenza meeting held in Copenhagen and after a long warm day a group of us went swimming in the harbour, that is how I will remember John, allways curious to try something new :-).
