Dear Lyn and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Today's celebration of John's life and faith was so beautiful. I am very thankful to have been able to participate online. My favourite memories of John are of his(and Lyn's) hospitality towards me as a young teacher in Mount Gambier (having just left home for the first time), where I was invited to Sunday lunch after church on many occasions. The home cooked meal was always delicious and conversation meaningful, as well as fun. I felt valued and greatly encouraged and welcomed in as part of the family.
