James was such a lovely chap. I would always look forward to working with him. When I saw his name down on a crew sheet, it meant that everything would be ok as James was there. I couldn’t tell you the number of times he saved my bacon with technical issues at work, always happy to come to the rescue and never made you feel uncomfortable asking. A real selfless man.
I sometimes used to see James at The Station Pub not far from where we both lived in Birmingham. We’d sometimes catch up there outside of work and he’d be great company laughing and joking away and making the bar staff laugh too. What an infectious laugh he had and a real twinkle in his eye. He will be sadly missed. My heart goes out to all his friends and family at this difficult time.
