I feel incredibly blessed to have had Aunty Inez in my life and that of my family. She was a source of immense inspiration to me. She was never afraid to stand by what she believed in and had a way of making it known to those that mattered to her. She was determined never to let ill health get in the way of what she had planned to do and some of us have experienced first hand, how she would get her way finally! Aunty Inez I will miss your cheeky smile when you stubbornly disregard what the doctor ordered and try to convince me to let you get away with it! I will miss our weekly chats and our little lunch rendezvous between doctors appointments which I so looked forward to. We shall all miss the wonderful gatherings you so eagerly and effortlessly hosted and the scrumptious spreads you treated us all to. We shall never taste aunty Inez’s lumprais again but are ever grateful for having had them for years all the way until the most recent lockdown. I was looking forward to a lumprais cooking demonstration once lockdown ended. It was not to be… you will never know the great void you’ve left behind. It is ironic you left us just 2 days before uncle Robert’s birthday! Perhaps you both had a plan…We will miss you. May you Rest in Peace.
