Gary was a beacon of kindness and generosity, someone whose warmth and compassion touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His amazing smile could light up any room, a true reflection of the gentle soul he was. Gary had a unique gift for making everyone feel important and valued. Whether you were a close friend or a stranger in need, he was always there to lend a helping hand, offering support without hesitation. His legacy is one of love, selflessness and an unwavering commitment to his family, his friends, his work, his colleagues and anyone who approached him. Though he may no longer be with us, the impact he made on our lives will be felt forever.

Gary and I, we were 18 years old when we joined Bowmans in 1997 as Telephone Operators. We worked on same night shifts, travelled in the same van for several years. If ever I would fall asleep in the van, he would remain awake to explain the drivers where I live and would wake me up at destination. Gary had an incredible sense of humor. We used to laugh at the drivers when they would spell out their names to the police officers who stopped them for control, ‘S 2 zo pal, Soopal’ and he would make his funny face. Some of you won’t know but Gary dyed his hair blonde in his 20s. We were on duty on a December 31st as we had to cover NFL games. He called me, ‘hein boir ene gorgé après to ale dan to place trankil’. It was a mixture of orange juice and vodka. Oops, Voldemort is no longer here to pull our ears… We were buddies in the Casino & Poker Support Team, he was the HOD, and I was the assistant HOD. During his farewell lunch, we laughed at the episode where back in the early 2000, we worked hard on a report and it was submitted, Voldemort said, ‘ki sa fey lissou tone done mwa la’. Whenever he would learn a new joke, before going to his desk, he would stop by and share them. Ga, am still laughing at ‘sauvez willy’ and ‘zerar kakakosson’. And I have tears in my eyes as I won’t hear your jokes anymore. I consider the years working alongside with you as the best years so far. It's unfair, it’s not you who should have gone. But I know you are at peace now. I love you, my brother.

It's still so hard to accept that you're really gone bro. Not a day goes by where you don't come across my mind. I miss our conversations, laughter, your advice, and just being in your presence itself. It's tough knowing that we won't be sharing drinks, good food, or even just hanging out like we used to. I can’t help but think about the times we had — like grabbing a bowl of mine bouille with the boys. We truly miss you man! The impact you've had on my life and everyone else's is undeniable. You were more than a brother, you were a true friend, a mentor, and above all you used to call me your son and you were truly like a father. You've left a piece of yourself among all of us and I'm so grateful for all the memories we've shared and everything you've taught me. It was an honor to walk this journey with you. They say the best among us leave for heaven first. Keep a spot for me bro, until we meet again.

You know every-time I see your face it reminds me of what a truly special person you are and how loved you are by so many. Having known you for such a short time the impact and memories I have of you are HUGE, I feel really privileged to have shared some special moments with you. I miss our daily work meetings that always started with tales on Manchester United and City. Your passion for United was so intense as was your passion for yours daughters and your colleagues - I admire that a lot about you. I have to share the memory that will stay with me a lifetime and that was the final good bye and our final words we shared is the mess hall here on your last day here at Rank - emotions were high and the way people lined up to say their personal goodbyes (with tears in our eyes) just shows the respect and admiration we have for you. Oh - I have to tell you this - I met Lea last week and she blew me away - what an incredible young lady and a true credit to you. Lea is going to be a superstar in her world and as her Dad I know you will be eternally proud. Rest with peace my friend - you will always be in my thoughts. M.x

22yrs of working together, of friendship, cheers, laughter, support, ups & downs together, our meals, business trips, birthdays and so much more...such an avalanche of memories that i shall cherish for life. Monthly targets and performance appraisals will come and go, but the memories of having worked and known someone as great as you will stay in my heart forever.... Your life advices as a big bro are with me and i thank you for guiding me through when i felt lost or angry...As you said i was your best working partner, likewise, you've been my best ever Gary!
