Dieudonné was quite simply, as his name describes, God's gift. A faithful Christian servant, he dedicated his life to honouring God - especially through his serving of vulnerable people through his ministry with International Needs in and around Bobo-Dioulasso. In the words of International Needs UK chair of trustees, Tony Tyrell, Dieudonné 'lived his life well', and his thoughtful leadership and deep-rooted compassion for others had a transformative effect on countless lives. As we mourn, we also give thanks for his generosity of spirit and infectious enthusiasm for sharing the gospel in word and deed. As we grieve, we find comfort in the words of 2 Timothy 4:7-8... 'I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness.' We believe that is true for Dieudonné. We invite you to share your condolences, memories and encounters with Dieudonné, as a tribute to a great man of God.

Julia and I have known Dieudonne for many years. We were so privileged to be invited to his wedding to Nafi, it was such a wonderful and memorable occasion. Watching Dieudonne over the years develop his skills and use them in the service of those less fortunate was heartwarming. He truly was a gift of God. We cannot understand why God has taken him so soon, but in mourning his loss we give thanks for all he meant to so many during his too brief life. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away Blessed be the name of the Lord.
