I send my deepest condolences to Ania and Victoria and to other members of Denis' extended family. I am deeply shocked and saddened. Denis and I were only swapping family email updates over Christmas - all appeared well. Denis has been a valued friend and colleague for over thirty years since our days at University College Cardiff department of psychology in the 1980's. He was a brilliant thinker, intellectual, scholar, and generous to his colleagues; but also kind, reflective, supportive and thoughtful as a friend. I shall miss you, our conversations, our e-exchanges, and catch-ups. Thank you for all your kindnesses and good times. Gone much too soon. May you rest peacefully.
