From first interviewing him he was immediately a very likeable person and just how lovely a guy he was really came out when he started work with us.
He fitted straight in to the department and team, was immensely popular and got on with everybody and he made a real effort to keep that connection going when he left to move to the Sheffield department nearer to his home.
The one main memory I'll always retain of Delroy was a day we were doing a department social event in the office where every team made some food, Delroy had volunteered to cook something and he brought in this wonderful Jamaican stew that we couldn't get enough of. What we didn't know straight away was that he had got up at 3am that morning in order to make it and was absolutely shattered at work.
A wonderful person who will be hugely missed by everyone who was lucky enough to come in to contact with him.
