I actually can’t believe I’m writing this about Brendan. I swam with Brendan in the same lane at the William Street baths almost every Wednesday evening for approx the past 6 years and at Lisfannon in the summer months, he was a real gentleman and a pleasure to know and to be in his company.
He took part in the Crana Swim Series last year and he was buzzing to have completed all three swims and to think it is less that 1 year ago.
I’m really saddened by this great and sudden loss of such a nice, pleasant and witty man and can only imagine the devastation his family must be feeling right now. Sincere condolences to Brendan’s family. RIP Brendan my friend we’ll all sincerely miss you.
