Dear Vivienne, Charlotte, Amelia, Mother Bartlett, Shaun and all the family
Bishop Christopher Bartlett: a Man of God, so distinct, a giant among men, not just in stature but in the Word, has gone on to be with the Lord.
Our hearts are broken and filled with sorry and dismay because he made an indelible mark in our lives, one of love and respect; a mark in the body of Christ and in standing up for what he believed, in order to bring hope to this world.
He was faithful in his love. It was so beautiful that he renewed his marriage vows, with you Vivienne, after thirty years of marriage, showing how much he loved you, and showing the world that he really found his rib. This act also showed his commitment to his family.
He will never be forgotten. His smile and his love will live on in us.
The loss is immense, but we take courage and comfort in knowing that he being a man that lived for God, now rests in the loving arms of Jesus. We celebrate the victorious life that he lived and we know that one day, we will meet him again.
Our hearts go out to you all, as we grieve your loss as your family.
We pray for God to wrap you in His loving arms. We pray for the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, to rest and comfort your hearts and give you the strength to go forward at this difficult time. You are loved and in our prayers.
Love from Elaine, Pauline, Winston, Roger & Mary, Phyllis, Annette & Willard, Sophia, Nathan and Zaneta and the rest of the family.
