Bernard taught me French since just before I married my French wife in 2012. We’ve had lessons almost every week since then, and I made such big improvements under his expert - but always fun and relaxed - tutelage. We had so many great conversations over the years, discussing politics, sport, history, geography, family…. And often over a cold beer. I will really, really miss him. Bernard, I will head to the “deuxième bureau” (the pub) and raise a glass of the apricot beer you always liked.
