Barri Sue Falk died October 15, 2022, at her home in Brookline, MA, after a 2½-year battle with a familial form of ALS which previously claimed the lives of her mother and brother. She was 58. Barri was married to Ronenn Roubenoff, MD, of Brookline, for 15 years. She is survived by her husband, children, Ethan, Austin, and Talia; father, Jerome of Buffalo Grove, IL; sister, Lisa Stevens and her husband, Michael of Chicago, IL; sister-in-law, Suzanne Falk; and her son, Collin of Riverwoods, IL; uncle, Michael Corchin; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Barri was born in Chicago, IL, and graduated from Fremd High School and the University of Illinois, Champagne-Urbana. She received a Master's Degree in Health Systems Management from Rush University. She was an executive in several health care companies before moving to Boston in 1998 to join Serono, a biopharmaceutical firm, as Vice President of Marketing. She left Serono in 2007 to join consulting firm Deloitte. In 2014, she and her family moved to Basel, Switzerland, where she continued as a Partner in Monitor Deloitte, leading their Life Sciences Consulting practice. Barri moved back to Boston with her family in 2021 to participate in a clinical trial of ALS at Massachusetts General Hospital. Barri was a beautiful, loving, and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She was a dynamic, fearless woman who was the center of her family. She enjoyed travel, and was passionate about her work, especially mentoring women in their career development.
