ALLISON
Allison for me was 'teaching' at it's best.. The love, passion and dedication she gave to teaching our young children shone bright and lit up the room.. She really did have the gift to engage childrens interests and prod their inquisitive skills.. Questions, Questions, Questions ringing around the room... It was a beautiful thing to observe.. Also she was a dab hand at getting the uninterested ones on board.. I felt privileged and thankful to witness it and be part of it..
Who wouldn't love books after listening Allison read.. She was an absolutely brilliant story teller who brought books to life with every word.. totally captivating.. Children would express their appreciation of her talent when it was the end of the chapter and they wanted her to continue desperately at times.. she was captivating..
I had a very special relationship with Allison and had and still have total admiration for such a kind, caring, unique unassuming selfless person who enriched my life as a true friend and colleague over the past two years.. We found common ground in lots of our paths in life and had a lot of same interests.. we clicked from the start and shared every emotion you could possibly think of.. The best one being laughter.. Belly laughter to tears.. I will treasure her friendship, what she taught me and the sound of her laughter forever.. Allison... Totally irreplaceable.. I loved her to bits.. I'm glad I very often told her that ❤❤❤❤.
One memory that stays with me only because of how it begun... Nothing exciting but means a lot to me... we both used to turn up roughly the same time for work around half seven.. Allison often before me.. On one of those days I walked in to her classroom and said morning beautiful and she looked at me and said I'm not beautiful and I said of course you are.. through and through.. she shied a laugh.. and from that day everyday after, I walked in and said hello beautiful and she would give me a smile of acceptance.. Sometimes I'd turn up with a sausage roll from Gregg's.. Her eyes would light up and we'd talk our day through over a sausage roll.. Not to forget the memory of how much she supported me through some real tough times.. A real Gem was Allison...
• Her one true love was Dave Groal from the Foo Fighters.. She fancied the pants of him (her words not mine).. That's another thing we had in common.. and obviously she absolutely loved the music too.. She was a bit of a rock chick..
