Aileen was my best friend during our years at Aberdeen Academy. She was a constant help and encouragement to me as she was so clever. We kept in touch during our university years, starting work , getting married and having children. We sadly lost touch when she remarried and moved to London. Over the past few years I managed to reconnect with her through Facebook and it was lovely to hear about her family and life, trying to fill in the intervening years. Sadly it was all too short as Aileen battled with her illness. I am so sorry for your loss and it was a privilege to view and listen to such a beautiful service.
