Abdullah Khan

July 31, 1952 - November 7, 2020

Here we have come together to remember our beloved Abdullah Khan, the strength of our family. May Allah shower His mercy on our dearest Abdullah Khan, and grant him the highest place in Jannah. “Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we return”. Abdullah brought joy to everyone around him. A great son, husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, he touched lives in meaningful and unforgettable ways. With his warmth, optimism and charming demeanor he made an instant connection with all who met him. He was a visionary, a man ahead of his times which helped shape the futures of many around him. He was immensely hard working, an entrepreneur and a farmer. He was a voracious reader, pursuer of knowledge in every field, a globetrotter, a food connoisseur, an incredible cook, and an avid shopper. He had a love for exploring and learning. His generosity and kindness rendered support and help to all who needed it. We will miss his warmth, energy, and ever-smiling face, and not to forget that twinkle in his eyes. The values Abdullah exemplified have become even more important to us, as we strive to embrace them in our lives. This website cherishes his memories forever and shares his life with others. This couplet, his favorite, will always remind us of him— “Gulon mein rang bhare baad-e-nau-bahaar chale, Chale bhi aao ke gulshan ka kaarobaar chale”

I was very close to Abdullahbhai since my childhood. In 1972 when he came to Allahabad along with Ashrafbhai, he used to take me along, while he met his friends in Allahabad. As a child I was very curious how a car engine works. He used to explain me by making drawings on a piece of paper. His explation was very articulate ,since he was pursuing engineering in AMU. Later in life, I sought his guidance regarding my own career. He used to give valuable insight. I often used to visit him in Delhi and had interesting conversations on any topic under the sun. Abdullahbhai was a very good host. One remarkable quality about him was that he was very liberal, fair and showered love and respect in any human interaction. In 2018 my son Afzal had qualified for iit. Abdullahbhai despite being out of country, guided my son, by giving valuable insight into various branches of engineering. In March 2020, I along with my family was invited by Abdullahbhai to come to his home in Delhi. But due to lockdown, I could not do so. My last communications with him was on Eid, wherein he blessed me and my family. We were all looking forward to meet him, but Allah willed otherwise. May Allah grant him Jannatulfirdaus. May Allah give all of us emotional strenght to overcome this grief. In this hour of grief, my heart goes out to Sabhabhabi, Iram and Sameer.
