I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Dion's passing. Just last month we were conferring about the topics of JEE journal special issues. Dion was an academic big brother during my graduate study in UC. I have benefited immensely from Dion’s valuable suggestions, support, and discussions throughout my career. Dion was so kind, genuine, passionate, knowledgeable, and resourceful. He leaves a lasting legacy in the environmental engineering community. He will be truly missed. Such a huge loss. My deep condolences to Dion's family.
