Dion was a world class researcher, but most of all he was one of the finest, kindest human beings I have ever met. He personally helped me with so many excellent reviews of papers, and he constantly served selflessly in the ACS Environmental Chemistry Division, AIChE, and AEESP. He will be sorely missed by our community.
